“And sometimes you know it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”
As you have read in my other blog post, it took me a year to set up this website and start blog posts. I’d like to say it took that long because setting up a blog is hard. Which lets be honest, if you don’t know much about computer stuff, it is. But it isn’t a year later kind of hard. It’s more like a couple of months of buckling down and doing it kind of hard.
What got in the way for me was anxiety and self doubt. My wonderful husband despite it all, kept encouraging me to do so. Told me I had a great idea and I should just go for it. Our lives have kind of been chaotic over the same past year and I wanted to launch the website when I felt I had time to really focus on it. But guys, that time never came. In fact when I launched this blog, more things piled on. I needed a place to escape and focus on something I loved to do. So I just went for it. I have been so thankful that I did.
I still have self doubt and anxiety every single week, watching those magic numbers of followers and traffic numbers fluctuate. (I posted a quarterly update last week and updated the final numbers today, Jan 2, 2019) But what I know is this, I have a good concept here and if I really put in the time to share that concept with others, the followers and traffic will come. I just have to believe in what I am doing and put my best into it every single time.
As I have dreamed up what I want to blog about for 2019 I find myself much more ‘project focused’ than medium focused like I was in the beginning. And I am leaning towards that for the foreseeable future.
So far, this is my 2019 project bucket list

As child I never really understood the concept of New Years because for me, being in school, it was the middle of the year. Now as an adult, it is a beginning and an opportunity to focus on the future and start anew. I am giddy with excitement over my fun little list of projects I want to accomplish and I hope you are too.
Thank you for being a part of my journey and I look forward to what 2019 brings.
